Greetings and Welcome to the Barony of Dun Carraig! We, Erwin and Mary Isabel,
would like to give you a little information about our group and the SCA.
The Barony of Dun Carraig is part of a not-for-profit, educational, and historical
organization called the Society for Creative Anachronism (or SCA). This group strives to learn
about the beauty and chivalry of the Middle Ages and to share with others the wonders of
medieval Europe. We choose to recreate the Middle Ages "as they should have been": re-creating
the fun parts (like the feasts, costumes & sword fighting), but leave out the parts like plagues,
lice and beheadings.
The society is divided into kingdoms and these kingdoms are then subdivided based
on geographic location. These groups are called Baronies. The Barony of Dun Carraig (our home)
comprises Charles, Calvert and Saint Mary's Counties in Southern Maryland. It lies within
the Kingdom of Atlantia, which encompasses Maryland, Virginia, North & South Carolina
and a portion of Georgia.
If you are new to the SCA (and would like to find out more information), please visit
www.sca.org or contact Minna Rose von Kruppe at Seneshcal@DunCarraig.net.
Please know that you do not need to be a member of the SCA
in order to participate in our activities.
We look forward to meeting you in person at an upcoming event. Please take a moment to
look around our website and explore all that Dun Carraig (and the SCA) has to offer.

Molly suffers from an allergy to crab. She does not care for walnuts, game meat, "squishy" veggies,
fish or olives. Erwin does not care for ginger, strong cinnamon or sweetened meat.
HOWEVER, they would like all to know that They are adaptable in Their tastes and will eat
all that is put in front of Them. They appreciate that anyone would cook for Them and would not
insult any gifts by wrinkling Their noses at a wonderful dinner!
Molly's interests include Middle Eastern Dance, textile arts, clothing and costume and Norse culture.
Erwin's interests include Norse culture, weapons and warfare, and brewing.
